Commies is a 2D shooter of sorts made in Lua on the LOVE engine. In Commies, the player must fight off waves of soviet soldiers while making sure not to take too much damage. Each wave has a set number of enemies that the player must kill in order to progress to the next wave, and with each new wave that number increases. The player's main objective is to clear a total of 100 waves and then defeat a powerful boss. There are different weapons and powerups the player can use to complete this goal, as well as a shop that the player can access between waves to purchase items and upgrades with points earned from the most recent wave that he has cleared.
