What kinds of lore, goodies and website extensions would you guys like running up till launch?

I'm talking about things like "an-entry-a-day":

1. Cast & Crew, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly -NPCs and shops from all around Nexus, and where to find them.

2. Bestiary, Fiends and Critters of the World Machine, maybe a bit about weaknesses, abilities, etc.

3. Armory, The Finer Details of Industrial Age Weapons and Armor -what upgrades look like, etc.

4. Disciplines, the Skill Trees laid out bare (well, no.. how about 60% revealed, cause I wanna keep secrets for launch).

Of course, I'm open to any other type of suggestions, too. Andrew and I want to do something cool but not too difficult cause most of our effort is spent on the game.

Head over to the forum poll and take your picks.

I'd say a good mix of each, not too detailed nor too cluttered, just a good mix of say critters and armory. Cause one thing each thing a day would be a bit tedious.

Sounds not bad, thanks for the suggestion. I'm writing this down.

If you are talking about putting items up here on MODDB, well you already got my attention and I'm tracking the game. If I see posts everyday I won't be looking at them. I usually stop tracking games that put up to many updates because it gets annoying. I think it's better to wait until you have a lot to say and show. I'm mostly interested in descriptions of features and mechanics or gameplay videos, so I know if the game is for me. Not the kind of thing you can post every day.

I understand you want to promote your game though, but perhaps moddb is not the place to advertise. I think it's better as a destination to send people to once you got them hooked, so they can track the game and be notified on release.

Thats just me though :) Some people lap up every tiny bit of concept art that comes their way.

Yeah, I totally understand what you are thinking about.Sorry can't update entirely what you want currently as we are now busy with preparing for the Alpha, adding new features, modifying some functionality and polishing everything in the game. When everything is settled, I think you can see lots of new stuff about the game, including new features, mechanics and gameplay videos. Thanks for the reminding, I'll try to provide more valuable updates.

I would like to see more "behind the scenese" goodies...
1. high poly models (no textures)
2. UV maps
3. low poly models
4. seamless image tiles
5. wireframes
etc.

Just stick around our dev journals, you can see almost everything about the development of City of Steam there.
