Each of these classes will be able to equip a selection of weapons including swords, battle axes, crossbows, longbows, shields and much more. As they take to the field players will clash with an advanced melee combat system that allows full, real-time control of your swings for precision strikes. PAX East this year was a blast, it was the first time we let members of the public go hands on with Chivalry and we had a lot of awesome feedback from people who had never heard about the game and also people who had played the mod a lot.
We had a head-to-head setup where players would take each other on in the area and some funny moments were captured including this gem where a fan stopped by to defeat our knight 2-1 and in typical gaming sportsmanship celebrated his victory with ample teabaggery.
Knight Teabagged at Pax East - Indie DB
All in all PAX East was a great experience for our team, was a lot of fun to interact with the fans and finally see players go hands on with the game we've been working really hard on. We were most surprised by how well people were able to just drop into the game and play, the combat mechanics have a lot of depth and strategy to them but at the same time players were able to sit down at a completely new experience and dish out some medieval violence which was great to see.
We'll be doing a similar event at PAX PRIME this year in August so be sure to swing by if you will be in the Seattle area!

i am really concerned about character design. aside from that, i trust them. the mod was great(again, except the characters)
It's going to be hard to top Mount and Blade. Really, really hard.
(buried)
age of chilvary was one of the worst mods i've ever played in my life
good luck, though! you're going to need it. we all saw how crappy dark messiah's commercial multiplayer was! hopefully this won't be AS terrible (because we know that this type of gameplay will never be good)!
Oh look, you just made a critical comment without even being *close* to constructive! Would you like to;
A: Fix said comment with an explanation of why this gameplay, that hundreds, maybe even thousands of players, have sworn to, does not work?
B: Shut up.
- What you don't get is that your oppionon does not count for "we all saw" so I highly recommend working on not being as narrowminded and negative as you are.
Lookin good! Make sure to market the living crap outta this, because if there's one thing I hate about these niche games, it's the anemic and fragile playerbase...
A Single Player campaign would be awesome :)
ok, if this one will be commercial - will we be able to play Age of Chivalry for free?
Age of Chivalry will always be free to play.
Will this be free, or do you pay for it? and for how much
It's a commercial game, so people will have to pay for it. They haven't announced how much it'll go for yet, though.
And Jesus, someone asked the SAME darn question just two comments ago. Come on people, read ahead a bit.
