Caasi’s Odyssey is the next generation rogue-adventure with unique gameplay mechanics such as a physics based damage system. In this adventure you’ll start in the darkest and deepest level of a randomly generated dungeon. Use your heroic gamer skills to survive and climb all the way up to reach the surface. You'll need courage for this one, well, not really. But get ready to laugh as you'll have to fight crazy monsters with lots of fun and crazy items! Find all the goodies you can, they'll help you on your way up… for the most part. With only one life this game is surely a challenge, walk carefully through the dungeon and survive the madness!

Want the game in a different look? Draw it! While drawing you automatically create the physics too -> Texture = Physics! Draw your physically world!

Hello my creatively fellows!

First I need to say sorry, because in this news I originally wanted to show you the player-individualisation-system. I already made the first version of it and it works great! And while I make last important things to this system, I will introduce the "100% ModSupport" instead! Yay :D

So how modding works in Caasis Odyssey?

The answer: Simple!! Because you just need to draw or render the texture / sprite you want. Everything else is made by the engine (e.g. physics).

What does that mean exactly?

Imagine you want to create a "minecraft glas block version" of this creature:

BoneDragonSnake

Bone Dragon Snake

To archive this you need to draw 2 different textures; the head.png and the spine.png.

This could look like this:

GlasDragonSnake

The original minecraft glas block is on the right hand side

You should note the following:
While you draw your new textures you create also the physics at the same time!

GlasDragonSnakeMass

With that in mind you can influence the speed, mass,

geometry and other physical attributes just by drawing your new texture!!

To put it in a nutshell: The engine of Caasis Odyssey creates the physical object right from your new textures!
It's possible to create a whole new game just by drawing or rendering! Or even copy paste new graphics...

Let me show you the final "Glas Dragon Snake" in action:

GlasDragonSnake

ModGlasSnake2

Now we have physical glas block parts instead of bone parts - just by drawing...

Try to imagine what result this could be:

headshotEvo

Mod the Skullshot - recieve a "Headshot"!! ;D

ModHeadShot

creepershotEvo

???

ModCreeperShot

Of course Creepershot :D

Note: You mod this all by yourself. There will be no minecraft related content in the game! I just want to demonstrate what could be possible with the power of imagination (and drawing...^^)!

As always I made a little video for your entertainment. Have fun watching it!

Possibilities are endless!

Okay, in the next news I will definitely show you the player-individualisation-system. Promise!
What? You want to see something anyway? ... well, okay, okay. A little gif is fine I think:

PlayerIndiGif

The player wears a magic coat and a magic hat.

I show you everything related to this in the next news!

So be prepared and follow the game on IndieDB!

Have a nice day.
