TouchTilt will finally have an Early Access beta of Buildanauts next month in April. We've had some ups and downs, some shuffling and all the usual things that happen in a typical dev cycle, but it's finally happening for us. Ultimately we ended up partnering with a new Publisher called Octopus Tree to help us reach the finish line, and we're grateful for the help.
Currently we're working on getting the game to a point where players can save and load their game state and take advantage of Steamworks for user generated, curated content. This means players can create their own structures and upload them for critique as well as saving/loading your own pre-made structure designs. In addition to this, we'll have Steam Cloud and of course Steam Achievements coming up.
At Beta launch, Buildanauts will be PC, Single Player and English only but with plans set in place to expand upon this. If you were an early-backer on Humble or other sites, we'll send you a Steam key when it's live.
Finally, we spent a great deal of time integrating a new state-of-the-art Terrain Engine and road/sidewalk system which is much more robust than our previous one.
Here are some new screenshots, a new trailer and a video of Buildanauts at GDC.
