Build and Beat

Build and Beat is a challenging old-school 2-D platformer currently being developed for the PC. The player is tasked at building levels and then trying to beat them. As the player plays more he will be able to unlock more enemies, powerups, levels and obstacles. The game is planned to have six worlds with separate themes. Build and Beat is compatible with the Xbox 360 controller and also supports custom music. Alpha stage is currently open and a download is available.

World 1 is now finished. There is always the potential of having to go back and make some changes and cosmetic changes is pretty much guaranteed throughout the development process. However, as for right now, World 2 is now the current direction.

Here are the additions to the 1.11 update.

- 1 new level. A "secret" level unlocked by getting 5 gold stars in World 1.
- 1 new powerup, the shield, unlocked in level 1-6.
- 6 new obstacles

Build and Beat Build and Beat

World 2 is going to be vastly different than World 1, both visually and gameplay wise. Expect to be surprised. That is all I will say about it for now.
