Only you can reclaim the world of SRC from an army of evil software-bugs: time to top-down-shoot balls of energy at cartoon monsters and watch them explode! "Bugger!" is a top-down shooter in the vein of CyberDogs, with a slightly unconventionally theme... The game is being developed from the ground up in C++, using the open SFML graphics library. As such it can (and will) be cross platform upon release :-)

Post news Report RSS Initial Alpha demo!

Today I've released a whole host of new media and an initial Alpha demo. This game has maybe another year 6-12 months of work left to do, but early feedback is always good. Tell me what you think!

Another first this week is my first ever narrated video. It's good fun actually, and in a sense a lot simpler and more satisfying than writing a post. After all most people, myself included, will just skim your hard work for interesting keyboards. I do sound like a bit of a twat though :-/

If you people like this format I may stick with it in the future. A second video, similar to those previously posted, can be found in the videos tab or on Youtube.

If you're interested, I've also posted a new development log on my website, detailing the more technical side of things as well as what I've been up to recently. You can find the Linux and Windows (32 & 64 bit) binaries on the download page here on indieDB. The Windows version is a rough port and little more unstable than the Linux one, but seems to work fairly way on my XP.
Bear in mind that this is ALPHA so THERE WILL BE BUGS. With that in mind, please tell me what you think!

Ciao!
William

This is getting better and better and you seem to be focusing on the right things. For the video, you sound a bit low and there's a high pitched sound in the background, small annoying things.

Thanks Fisk! Afraid it's my crappy inbuilt microphone :-( Maybe I should invest in a proper one...
