In the beautiful, yet busy city of Seattle, WA lies a small building owned by Galvanize. They hosted an event called: DevRel Summit, the FIRST DevRel Summit EVER!
So a quick explanation of what DevRel Summit is:
DevRel stands for Developer Relations, AKA developer evangelist. It is a position that is between engineering and marketing. We attended this event to learn and assimilate as much information as we could! And we did!
The event lasted almost the entire day. Long enough to take selfies ;) I caught Margaret smiling!!! WINNNN!
The event had several speakers, each talking about different subjects to teach different tools to help with self-improvement for a devrel position, but was beneficial to anyone and everyone working in the dev industry!
The one who facilitated it all: Lee Ngo was the most charismatic, funny, high-energy person I've ever met. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He also facilitates the "Learn to Code Seattle" Meetup group. You can follow him on Twitter as @LeePNgo.
We are excited to attend next year. I am even trying to convince my sister @TessaMero to be a speaker next year!
