Broken Dimensions (Mac)
Mar 29, 2011 Full Version 2 commentsThe Mac build of the final version of Broken Dimensions.
When young Theodor stumbles into a brooding black pyramid on Halloween, he finds himself trapped in twisted passages where up is down and left is right, but the only way out is through. Blessed with the mysterious power to rotate the entire world around him, and guided only by the ghostly figure of a mysterious woman who keeps pulling him further and further into the darkness, his only hope for escape lies in mastering time and space themselves.
In Broken Dimensions, no two puzzles are alike. Instead, two simple mechanics of rotating the world in 3 dimensions and freezing individual objects in time combine to unlock a whole universe of exciting physics-based puzzles.
Broken Dimensions is a Unity powered game developed in just 5 weeks by an interdisciplinary team of 13 students at the Danish Academy of Digital Interactive Entertainment (DADIU). It will be available for PC owners everywhere to download or play in their browser at absolutely no cost on March 29, 2011.

Interesting logic game. Advice to all.
Is it possible to change the controls? The controls menu under options didn't respond to anything I clicked/pressed.
I think you can change the controls in the Unity launcher, but I'm not sure.
I really liked this game, combining the world rotation idea with freezing objects is a nice concept that can make for some great puzzles. Keep up the good work.
I have a problem when I press start the loading apers but when its done the screen stays black
It's a fun little project, but I'm having trouble working out how to defeat the final boss.
Nice game i love this causew thers horror and adventure but it was i lttle short though probly because of a time limit well bye (sry for spelling my spelling is a bit bad)
Hey, well actually it's too long. We had 5 weeks to make it, so making a game of this sort of length was a little outrageous, that's why the environment art is slightly on the primitive side, at least compared to what our art team could've done if they'd only had one or two levels to focus on.
The difficulty is of course highly subjective. I think it's pretty easy too, but you should've been there during the play testing - we had to simplify some of the puzzles a lot. That's the problem with puzzle games, it's really hard to change the difficulty, so you can't really supply difficulty options in the beginning.
As for a map editor, well... we made it with Unity, so if we ever release the source files you could easily make more levels yourself (we probably won't though, mostly because we can't be assed).
Don't get me wrong, I loved your game and I'm aware that it was only a limited project. In fact I even wrote an article about it and recommended it to people (no point in linking it to you, since it's in Polish). Well done guys, I can't wait for you to graduate and start making full games.
Hey I'd like a link anyway :-)
