Bridge Commander 2 is our interpretation of the original vision of Bridge Commander while making it seem more realistic and logical. The single player campaign features emotional characters with branching dialogue and choices, so your commands will have an impact on your future in your chosen faction; of which 3 will be playable at launch: Federation, Klingon and Romulan. We keep the original skirmish mode but moved its entry point from the main menu to your starships holodeck. This makes the room useful, especially when your starship will be fully explorable. You will be able to explore new procedurally generated worlds and declare war on other captains of opposing factions. Well, I've implemented a working multiplayer system into the game, this includes basic features for now like, Chat, Movement, Viewing other players, Weapons fire, etc, i hope to have a few bugs worked out soon, once i do i'll start working on other goodies that nobody knows about.

Other things that have been added lately include Metallic hulls, i've even re-scaled the entire universe to get rid of camera jitter.

One other thing I wanted to ask is if there will be random appearances of Q. I know that it would be extremely hard to implement these random encounters with Q. but it would be quite comedic to see your first officer turned into a chicken or something like a random mission that sends you and your crew back in time or some fictional place. The chicken would be easier though.

I read the indiegogo site and I have a question. If you don't get the required amount of money to raise will you implement the things mentioned in the stages later(not at launch) for example: cardassians and dominions as playable, mirror universe etc. or they will not be available?

We don't plan to have any publicly available builds until the beta test comes around. If anyone has however donated certain amounts to the project, If I recall correctly Captain or Admiral level, you'll be able to access any dev build we make when there's significant content. There's quite a few updates this week; yesterday we just relaunched our website with a new look - take some time to see it :)
