atWar, formerly Afterwind, is a free-2-play online multiplayer turn-based strategy game (Silverlight). In the best traditions of Risk and Axis & Allies, you play against other people to fight for world domination. Features free unit movement - no grids or predetermined paths. Up to 20 players in a game, simultaneous turns. Another feature is the Map Editor allowing players to create their own maps and units, giving you the chance to re-enact any battle real or imagined. If you get disconnection problems with the Desura file right after you load the game then you should disable the firewall or add a firewall exception rule... or just go to our website and play in your browser there.

More languages added to the atWar interface!
We have added 5 more languages to atWar! Already in Beta are German, Dutch and Turkish... Now we have added Arabic, Hebrew, Macedonian, French and Chinese (simplified). Bringing the total to 9 languages. Come and see atWar in your native tongue or learn a few words in other languages.

To toggle between the languages just type '/language' and the language code in the chat line and refresh

Language codes:
English (en)
Dutch (nl)
Turkish (tr)
German (de)
Chinese (zh)
French (fr)
Arabic (ar)
Hebrew (he)
Macedonian (mk)

e.g.
for Hebrew: /language he
for French: /language fr

It's great that atWar is becoming a multi-language society.
But in order for this to suceed I find that the "English Only" rule for the main chat lobby should be overturned.
