PRAGUE, Czech Republic, June 8th 2017 – 1C and developer Destructive Creations are proud to reveal more information about their upcoming squad-based RTS, Ancestors. The music accompanying the game’s announcement trailer, as well as the complete in-game score, all come from the studio of Adam Skorupa. The award-winning composer and sound designer has created music for over 30 games, including bestsellers such as The Witcher and its sequels. Adam has now turned his attention to resurrecting musical instruments of the past, for scoring the dark atmosphere of the merciless medieval times of Ancestors.
"It's a great pleasure and lots of fun to work again with the DC team! Dark folk/medieval music is something I’ve loved composing, since the times of the first The Witcher game. This time, I’m working with live instrumentalists and can finally compose the music the way it should be. Using traditional instruments and singing techniques is a great experiment which I really hope that players will be excited about while exploring the game," says Adam.

Ancestors, developed with the latest technologies from all partners involved, brings some innovative features to the RTS genre, such as the action camera that gets the player directly into the uproar on the battlefield. Working closely with nVidia, the developers have also implemented Ansel technology, enabling players to capture HD 360° screenshots, viewable both on flat screen and VR-enabled devices.
