Wow.
This, the Transept, I honestly was always paranoid that a monster was going to come right when I walked through each three of those doors, picking up *SPOILER* an orb piece *SPOILER OVER* since it was one of the most "valuable" puzzles which leads to the ending of the game. The torture chambers also freaked me out a lot.
