Hello! We have been super busy adding all sorts of new features to Adventure Craft! Lately I have been putting a lot of work into the night time gameplay, lighting, and night time creatures and events!

Here's a look at a few of the new things that have gone in.

Weapons and equipment can now have animated lights attached to them. If you are holding a torch it gives off it's light as long as its equipped, so you can switch to another weapon if need be and still get the benefits of the torch.

The world now becomes very dangerous at night. Mysterious portals and gateways will spawn night time monsters that will relentlessly seek out and try to kill you. Below are some Dark Zombies spawning out of dark voids in the ground.

On the bright side these creatures cannot survive during the day, so if you can stay alive long enough the sun rise and will burn any night monsters that are after you!

Not all monsters and creatures of the night are hostile though. We have also added creatures like these fairies. They give off light and will follow you around at night. The light that they give off also has an effect on some of the swamp creatures, so Monsters don't like them and will try to take them out. It pays to protect them if you can. This ghost is a rare monster that just wanders the swamps at night searching for someone. Spooky!

While I was experimenting with some lighting and object stuff I ended up with this crazy looking lattice of glowing flowers in one of the biomes! I thought it looked really cool so I included an image! It gave me some ideas for some cool things I'll try as I continue to work on the worlds procedural generation.

On a completely unrelated note, I saw these two heavy goblins hanging out in the shade in a small pool together. The behavior system creates some funny things sometimes.
