We were promised a trilogy, but got left with a cliffhanger. It is my hope that with this game I can bring some closure to the fans, and maybe even show Majesco that this series is worth finishing. I have a demo available online for what I have completed so far. This will be a pc game, but easier to demo it through a website for now.

The artwork is just placeholders until I can find a 3d modeler.
I have tried to duplicate the controls from the pc version of Advent Rising. WASD and the mouse for movement. Left mouse button is Lift, and the right is a gun. Make sure you click inside the game or it won't work. Scrollwheel cycles through targets.

If you have any skills and would like to help out please email me at emrys90@gmail.com
I am in desperate need of 3d modelers and storywriters.

Power Switcher

News

There is now a power switcher menu you can open to pick Lift or Surge. This way you can bring the power back after picking up the gun. You activate the menu by pressing the number 3, and then use the scrollwheel to select the power. After that click the mouse button you want to assign the power to.

A basic version of jumping has been implemented. It will need some more work, but you can use it by pressing the space bar.

A new enemy has been added in as a demo. Working on getting a seeker model made and that will replace this character.

Health bar has been added in, and also the currently equipped weapon/power names are displayed. You can raise/lower lifted objects with the scrollwheel. Less energy drain while lifting, but a cost to throw the lifted object. This is in preparation for lift being incorporated into the gameplay. Perhaps by having to move objects to certain locations.

This new version is live on the web demo.

I am a huge fan of this game. I've beaten this game roughly 5 times with and without cheats since it came out and I got it on Xbox. I miss it with a passion! Honestly, I wish I could help in any way, but I have no idea how to help...If there's any hope at all of this coming out, please let me know. Also, is the Demo still available?

Sorry guys, but I abandoned this project a while back because I was unable to find any help. This project is too large for me to do solo without any artists or story writers.

not much hope but i would not say it is dead.. still a chance that emrys picks it back up. i know i really hope it happens but for one person to make a whole game especially like advent rising, it will take a looong looong time adn a hell of a lot of work :/ wish you the best emrys wether you try to finish the game or now, thank you for trying at least :) AR used to be one of my favorite games so it makes me happy to see that someone even tried to do a sequel :)

Good news. I have a new version up for demoing. This version includes the Surge power as right click. There is a gun and grenade you can pick up. New targeting system that I am giving a try as well. Instead of using the scrollwheel, you can hover the mouse over a target to shoot/activate lift.

I am very glad to hear that someone is going to make a sequel. The game was a lot of potential, but because of the small experience of developers and not the best game publisher game was not very good.

Honestly, I do not really believe that this project will live up to the release, because scope of the project is very large. But I would hope that I am wrong. )

In your place, I would start with a remake of the first part. I would be happy to help, but I'm afraid that I do not possess the necessary skills for this.

P.S. I apologize for my crappy English ...
