The game stars Amber Kingsley, a strong-willed former soldier that is down on her luck; now working with Ancile as a low end security officer at the Irving Alaskan Apex Facility. Dark Storm is designed as a multi-part game that will be released episodically on the PC. The first game that is currently in development using Unreal Engine 4 is called Dark Storm: Ascension, which is targeted for a 2017 release.

Yes, the rumors are true. Dark Storm has made a triumphant return to Kickstarter!

(tram section, above)

Dark Storm, the game you voted into the top 100 most anticipated games on IndieDB, needs your help! You may be asking yourself, "What is Kickstarter, and how can I, a humble gamer, help Dark Storm?" Excellent question!

Kickstarter is a website that connects creative projects with donors who help fund the project. Making a video game can be an expensive endeavor. Between software licenses, startup fees for the company, and advertising, creating a well rounded video game is costly. Thats where Kickstarter comes in. Donors can help fund Dark Storm by donating anywhere from $1 all the way up to $500 to help bring Dark Storm to fruition.

"Thats all well and good, but what's in it for me," you might ask? Besides a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart that you made a humble development team's dreams come true, and besides the fact that you are going to be a part of creating Dark Storm, you also get various rewards based on your level of commitment to the Dark Storm project. Rewards include promotional posters, exclusive Kickstarter-only concept art and wallpapers, the Dark Storm soundtrack, your name in the credits, and many more prizes.

So, if you are feeling generous and would like to be a part of the Dark Storm creative process, or just want to learn more about Kickstarter and Dark Storm, click on the link below to go to our Kickstarter page.

thanks for checking out the Kickstarter page! Yes, a $100 pricetag is steep, however, Kickstarter is not about selling our product, it is a place for donors to find and support projects they want to see come to fruition. The game itself will be $10 when it hits steam, but if someone donates $100 for our project, chances are its not because they want a copy of the game, but rather they want to support the project.

l0p is correct, you would receive all of the other things that come along before that benchmark in addition to what is at that level.

your business model is a bit flawed, I know you're trying to reduce the number of "donors" you need to hit the goal doing this, but you're essentially giving them nothing in return. I don't think you're going to get a lot of takers on this one I'm afraid, and its a shame because you've clearly got some talent. EDIT: I just read, $10.. Why are you charging $100 for a $10 game.. You're punishing early backers by setting the entry too high which is bad, you actually want to discount the early backers so that they get a sense of value over the long term- that way word of mouth will help when you actually do hit retail.

I also doubt that there will be enough people willing to donor 75$ (or even 25$) to a project with nearly no detailed information about it and not even getting a copy of the game. You should consider changing that, or your funding will probably fail again. Anyway, i wish you all the best for your project.

Thanks everyone for your input. The rewards have been reanalyzed and edited to be more donor-friendly. the $100 level will remain the same, however, because donors have already purchased it. It is important to remember that Kickstarter is not a place to preorder the game, it is a place to help fund projects you deem necessary. As previously stated, the game will release on steam for $10.
