Post news Report RSS Production stopping for TFC

Work has been halted on TFC for now, unfortunatly, but this is not the end.

Posted by on

Due to many reasons (Money, scale etc..) production has been stopped till we get money, bigger team etc...

We have learned a lot from this project and will come back to it one day.

Our new project will appear here soon, this new project will be smaller but still quite interesting, realistic and suprising.

not really surprising that was a huge project to undertake and money is everything is this capitalist society we live in. good luck with your new project.

Well its not anything to do with money as anything can be achieve with little, its just while we reorgainse things and build a bigger team

Money? You guys are funny... you think money means something? Then I guess you should look around more, since I've seen many fantastic projects which didn't require any money... AND I hardly doubt you learned anything from this, in fact, I'm sure you didn't.

I am afraid you are wrong, we needed Unity pro and that costs £1000 and we needed to get a few assets (£400 altogether) and some people would not join us if we didn't pay them, so it just stagnated, sorry.

Come on... Seriously? Unity Pro? You HAVE to be kidding me, first of all, why the hell do you need Pro version when you can't even work on FREE one. That is the most pathetic reason, because I've seen people do fantastic stuff even without Pro.

First of all, you were making a VERY ambitious game and you say you only needed 400 pounds for few assets? and people wouldn't join? Thats same as me saying: I can't make Crysis 3 because I don't have 200 men in the team and I don't have millions of budget. IF you had these kind of problems, you shouldn't have even announced this project, now you just dissapointed those people and lied to them.

So why did you buy Unity Pro if you are saying you don't need it? Why did you waste money with assets and hiring people who wants money if you can get people who would work just to see the game running and using their own stuff or freeware? Really, I just started looking at this and as I see it had no hope. Start with a mod, don't EVER put money on any side, just wait until you get a good team.

We never brought unity pro, or any assets or paid any teammembers, I said that we needed to in the future, also we do need Unity pro if we wanted the map to look good or to have most of the our plugns work at 100% efficency.

I agree with lukaluka94, money has nothing to do with this. This is just pathetic.

Quoting you:

"Due to many reasons (Money, scale etc..)"

"am afraid you are wrong, we needed Unity pro and that costs £1000 and we needed to get a few assets (£400 altogether)"

I'm the one telling you that you didn't need any money, while you stated otherwise... Now you are saying you don't need any money and you didn't mention it?

I think he has every right to. I mean TFC is giving out lame reasons for why they are stopping, and he was looking forward to this game very much, and then it stops because of lame reasons. So yea, he's gonna get ******, and lay into them.

What's pathetic is how you believe him. I've seen this team from the inside, I tried to give them advices and help maybe, I warned them this would fail if it would continue like this, but yeah, did anybody listen?

Do you even know the composition of the team? lol

But anyways, There's nothing much to say anymore, when you get disappointed again like this, don't blame me anymore, because there are tons of people and "teams" like this out there. I'm just sick of it, nothing more.

i agree the team needs improving... and how can you get disappointed if you never thought it could work? I agree their hopes were to high with too small of a team. But maybe after they do more work they will be able to make *something* of it. I did not say that what would come would be perfect, but maybe something. Also, I always "Expect the Worst & Hope for the Best". That way I can never be "Disappointed" by something because I have been disappointed too many times. MAYBE it will work someday. I STILL HAVE MY FEARS THAT IT WONT! But that wont cause me to start flipping out on a Dev team that is still very new to the gaming field and *did* not know how hard making something like they wanted was. AND, Yes I know the dev team, or atleast most of them, I was being sort of like an unofficial community manager until they got one for full time, so yeah i know about the dev team.

Allright then, you don't get anything do you? IT's not me who is disappointed, but all these people here who listened to this bullsh*t, yes bullsh*t and believed these guys only to get disappointed in the end... The thing is that they don't know much, they don't have any experience, WHILE they keep telling me and others that they will make this, and they will make that, only in the end, to fail and bring up miserable and pathetic reasons.

Too bad you don't see this, I've seen people like this, I've seen dozens of them. No point in arguing with ignorance anyways... I'm the bad guy now amn't I, because I told this to them from the very beginning, and now that I see they really failed, I'm just angry, because they ignored. Anyways, I don't really care and this is least of my concerns now.

Many may not know this, I asked around 45 people to join our team about 90% wanted some form of monetary payment, I couldn't pay them so they didn't join, as I said it was only a part of the reason why.
