What classifies as spam? Thread

I know what spam is but I noticed you level up being active in the community while your level goes down if you spam, however does that include creating multiple comments on a game's comment section? (Like I forgot something to say but don't want to search for the previous comment to edit or it doesn't fit with that comment) or when you get negative karma on your comment is when it is considered spam?

If you are contributing to the conversation in some fashion, it almost certainly wouldn't be considered spam.
