Unsafe download message when trying to download mods Thread

I'm new to this site even though I've used ModDB before, but for a past week I was downloading mods for UT3. But, when doing that, I've received this message: "this unsafe download was blocked by SmartScreen Filter. I'm using IE11 browser and encounter this and down want any risk of harming my computer. Has anyone encounter this problem?

1. Don't use IE

2. Don't use SmartScreen - they have no clue of software (everything can be unsafe lol)

3. Don't use Windows Defender.

Fix:

1. Deactivate all of the above

2. Download Firefox/Chrome

3. Install an antivirus like Avast or Avira, etc.

4. Download the mod again + you are 1000% safer now!

Thanks for the advice. Quite frankly IE has kinda gone a little wonky for me, even though it's my default. After that browser hijacker fiasco I had over a month and a half. Probably Chrome is my best bet. I use PC Matic, btw. But thanks anyways.
