This site over the last few weeks, has been really slow for me, and this is the only site to do that, everything else works fine, my internet is normal, but this site takes a bit to load everything, and what's worse is that, the download pages are even slower, I'm usually getting errors, and sometimes the page doesn't even refresh, but when I do finally get a download going, if it seems to be at least 1GB, I get a network error after a few minutes, I tried for days to get Star Wars Battlefront 3 Legacy to download, just because its 1GB, and now I'm trying to get Movie Battles 2 to download for Jedi Academy, but I keep getting the same problem, any idea who or how I can fix this?

In short this site has been super slow, and most of the time I can't get a download bigger then 1GB to finish, need help, thanks.

For me, the site's speed is normal [latest version of Chrome on Win.8.1]. Only the openbeta of the new ModDB version is slow, which is normal, as said by the staff. But, I haven't downloaded any big files as of lately, so I can't say if there's a problem there.

Let's see what an admin has to say about this.

Doesn't look like I'm on a beta version of the site, looks the same as always, so I can rule that out.

The site should actually be a lot faster in the last few months due to a few enhancements we have made.

What are the URLs that tend to be extra slow for you?

Kind of the whole site, but the biggest problem, I think I found, are the pages where I can find the download links, those are the slowest, sometimes taking up to a few minutes to load, and sometimes don't load at all, then after I refresh at least once, I finally get to the page and I click download, then sometimes I get an error and the download doesn't start, then when I finally do get the download to start, most of the time it doesn't finish because I get a network error, mainly any download that's around 1GB at least. I'm not sure why, but it has been preventing me from downloading mods, it's very annoying.

In fact even that last post took a few minutes to send, because the site wasn't loading.

Can you do tracert moddb.com or traceroute moddb.com and PM me the results?

I don't know what that means, sorry.

Type "traceroute" in google and it will suggest a lot of sites, which you can use for checking your internet's ping to a specific site. I found this, for example Ping.eu

Just go ahead, put "www.moddb.com" on the site's field and press "go". After it's done with checking the response times, copy and paste the results or attach a picture of them here for INtense to see.

Okay I did it, now this is going to sound dumb, but how do I send a PM? I've never done that on this site before.

There is no such thing as a dumb question ;) .

You can either visit the member's profile page and scroll down to find the "contact>send message" tab (middle right side of the member's profile page) OR click on the little envelope you have next to your username (upper-left corner on this very page/any page) and then click on the + symbol (compose message, middle-right side of the page) and write your message. As you will see, you only need the member's username to do it!

Hope I was of help ;)
