I once posted a thread about why this site does not offer SSL/TLS. Her I am asking again, cause nobody replied (._. )

Nowadays it's really important to encrypt AT LEAST the login procedure, in order to prohibit the 5 year old child next door to get your password.

It shouldn't be that complicated to get a verified certificate and get it running on your apache / nginx / whatever server you are using. ( I managed to get a personal certificate on my home server in like 2 mins ).

So is there any point why you shouldn't do so?

This is getting annoying, sorry, but please don't just ignore me cause you don't want to explain that. This is a serious problem.

There may be no card info but there are private messages, your real name (if you put that into your profile info), your email address, birth date, your chat accounts, your home country, ALL your games/mods/apps - cause with an indiedb account you can log into every other dbolicial site and if that is the only page you upload your data, progress, etc and anyone gets your password you may lose everything easily.

There may be someone who cares about their data, my friend.

another reason why i believe they don't have SSL is due to the fact some data is actually imported from outside of this domain there of we would be getting an authentication error every time we tried to visit the site. just a guess.

You can use the contact link at the bottom of every page, or contact me or the site directly via support@moddb.com or send me a personal message.
