Rome total war how to place units from the original rome to BI Thread

Im trying to place in units from the original game to Barbarian invasion. I know how to make new units and get to use them in campaign. but when i try to do everything i need to place one unit from the old game into bi i cant get it to work. i have it to where it shows up in custom battle but crashes as the battle loads, i believe i am having trouble with the sprites being in the wrong folder. i have looked over it countless times with no luck on what i did wrong. if anyone knows how to do it or think they can help me fix this problem it would be much appreciated.
