Another one of those kooky creations, post your most hilarious/strange/whatever random images you have found across the Internet. KEEP IT CLEAN! I don't want to see any inappropriate images, especially porn. If you do post this, I will remove it and you will get warned. This is meant to be some harmless fun. Thank you. I'll begin...

Lord knows the Kitten forum stood around as much as it did. I'm going to call this one "A-Okay!" Especially since the whole point of the thread is to post random images... Oh, and whether it's funny, or strange, or you just like it, you can post it. Just please, if you have more than one photo, don't come in posting one picture after the other. That does actually constitute as spam. |

Yeah it's really old but for those of you who haven't seen this, it was made in Paint. |

Not necessarily. I've seen some even more spectacular art produced by pixel artists from back in the days before paint (we had a gallery set up not long ago in Nottingham, it was incredible). It's very feasible, but it takes hundreds of hours to complete something like that. |

Honestly I'm not overwhelmingly impressed; I'd be more impressed if that were an actual painting. Pixel art is tedious, but not difficult to master. It is neat though, and definately one of the better examples of pixel art. Some time when I have nothing better to do with my life, I might do some pixel art stuff.. I've done small projects (mostly sprite work), but nothing remotely close to the scale of that image. Edit - The most difficult part of that image without a doubt was the sky. That's the only part that I am pretty amazed by; making smooth textures in Paint is a bitch.. if the artist had rendered the water more realistically, I guess overall I'd be more impressed. Aside from the sky, the artist chose to do the easier elements (buildings), while really skimping on what'd be a considerable challenge, namely the water. The sky is incredible, though. Buildings are easier to do than water? That's the first time I've heard of it... you'd think a lot more detail would go into the structures. Edited by: Karuto |
