Project Brutality contains malware? Thread

Hey,

I tried to download Project Brutality, the Brutal Doom add-on (and the same with the overhaul pack) and my browser says:

This file contains malware or a virus.

Is that true, or are there just some unconventionally packed files inside the download?

Download it and upload it to Virustotal.com to scan the file with most conventional AVs. I highly doubt there really is a virus in there, but just go with virustotal's result.

What browser are you using? Let me guess: Chrome?

I'm having the same problem with the Nirvana mod for Warcraft 3 using chrome . Is it just a chrome issue ?

I don't know, but i can say that Chrome is more browser than AV, maybe it's just oversensitive.

Hey, we are getting a few false positives, the files are fine and virus free. If others have issues, let us know, we will monitor the situation. If you do have an issue please tell us your browser / security software that's reporting the issue. Thank You
