New here. Looking for some help in downloading a game Thread

I used to play the Command and Conquer games years ago, but I haven't played any of them in at least five years. I see that there are some cool updated versions of Command and Conquer Generals out there and I was wondering how I would go about getting a clean copy of one of the modded versions of Generals installed on my Windows 7 laptop. I would really love to get back into this game. If anyone can help, that would be great. I have tried downloading it online but it never seems to work. My anti-virus keeps telling me no.
