How do you build a community? Thread

Morning/Afternoon everyone!

My name is Dean, I'm the Founder of Greenlight Games.
Thought I'd hop on the forums to ask how would YOU would build a community around your game/concept?

Here's what I currently have:
A studio website (www.greenlightgames.co.uk)
An Indie DB company & profiles for games
A domain for our game that points to indiedb (www.gombies.co.uk)
Facebook group, Twitter, Google+ & YouTube channel.

We have a few thousand hits/views across everything every week. But no one comments, no one registers, no one gets involved

I want to change that, so once again:
"How would YOU would build a community around your game/concept?"

I would build a community over a cause, a cool game idea with a backstory worth discussing about. The forums to be active needs advertising. Need good control of.

I think the most important part is advertising.
