Apologies if this has been asked before, but I can't find any similar posts. I was wondering if there were any first person mods for any of the Sim City games? I mean, look at Sim City 64 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpe_BnXcMc8), go to 1:05 in that video and watch what I mean. It is very basic, but to be fair that's on an N64 game from fifteen years ago, yet no Sim City game that I know of on the PC duplicated this feature, and if a mod of this exists then I'm unable to find it. I'd be perfectly happy if this was a mod for Sim City 2000, as even though it's ancient (in game years!) it's still a great game. So if anyone is looking for a new project, then please consider a first person mod for Sim City 2000 or later. By the way, according to the Wikipedia page, Sim City 64 even allows you to fly around the city in a helicopter or travel by train, and in both cases you get the first person viewpoint. How fantastic must that be? Thanks for reading this. |

The only games that would be able to do that is SimCity 4 and the newest SimCity. All other SimCity games are 2D, except SimCity 64. |

Cities: Skylines has a mod (or I believe several, actually) that allows you to go through your city in first person. Not what you asked, but I thought I'd mention it in case you are really looking for a game with the first person possibility. |

that's a very cool idea, Sim City 2000 with a retro ray caster would be fun . The source to the orginal is open: Github.com (it's not SC2000, but the orginal top-down version), that should be do-able for raycasting. all sprites would need to get a 2nd version with height and there we go. I will give it a shot when I find some spare time at some point. |
