cant fully download .rar files Thread

please help i have been trying to downloading Star Wars Galaxy at war mod for weeks and everytime i download it, it stops at 2gb and is finished and when i open it in winrar it says unexpected end of archive so i fix but it doesnt help because whenever i extract it to the mods folder and launch the game there is a whole section that is missing in the game, i have asked the mod creator but he isnt really helpful and i have browsed the internet for what seems like years and despite trying everysingle thing ive found on the internet nothing has worked and i am getting really frustrated. (also i can download .exe fine from moddb no stops in the download and it fully downloads)

That is odd, that 2gb RAR file is definitely broken, it should be 4gb. Any ideas why it stops at 2gb? What OS/browser/antivirus are you using? Do you use any download managers? It is really weird as antivirus/firewall tends to block exe files only, not rar files.

Hmm, only Microsoft security essentials? No other, professional and dedicated antivirus/anti-malware software? Apps not dedicated to antivirus protection may find more false positives than the dedicated software, not entirely sure however if that could interrupt your download mid-way when it detected something it disagrees with...

Update i can download other rar files this is the only one i am having problems with anyone know any fixes?
