I'm working on a 3D rpg game. My houses will end up looking something like this Preview.turbosquid.com . Really small and cute I guess, but inside it should be alot bigger(maybe 1:5). I appreciate all your responses.

Thanks.

I remember reading somewhere that for first person games interiors tend to be tree time bigger in terms of foot print - so the size of room and the spacing of furniture - otherwise the player will be constantly bumping into things. I'm not sure if the same is true for third person games but it's probably worth experimenting with.

I'm currently making a third person game and the camera angle and speed the player moves has an impact on how big an interior can feel.

I think it's just a case of playing around with things until it feels right.

Thanks for your input. I guess I realized it's an artistic choice, and we can really do what we want with our game worlds. We're the directors of this art.

I think the idea of the interior appearing larger than the exterior is fun anyways... makes it feel a little more "magical"

Hmm, I'd never really thought of anything like that before. It could be an interesting aesthetic if you worked with it, evoking a sense of adventure every time the player goes into an interior and doesn't know what to expect. It could literally be anything, not being restricted in any way by the exterior model.
