Indeed I did. I saw the Article that you wrote, and when I found out that there were going to be separate sections on the forum for all disciplines, it made much more sense to put everything here (going to do it for all the other sections as well, just haven't had the time yet).
Besides, half your list was put together by other people ;)

Something about this thread tells me its more about 2D Texturing in a 3D environment rather than 2D. Whilst its useful for texture artists, I'm pretty sure there is more to 2D then just that :D

Why oh why aren't more people working in 2d :(

Well, I only went from the links that I had. Post more links to relevant sites and I'll update that first thread :)

My favourite tool for creating concepts (using Graphics Tablet primarily) is Corel Painter X:

Corel.com

Offers 30 day trial but to be honest if you've got a decent graphics tablet the cost of the program isn't much, there's also a cheaper, less feature-packed version.

well yeah but i wished you asked tough :p cuz i spended alot of time making the list to :p (its less then half by other people btw :))
anyway, maybe you could link to my article on the bottom? :p then were both happy :D

I was going to ask but didn't see you around. But yeah, that list was mostly a bunch of stuff from other people. I'll link to the original article if you really want though, but I don't really see the point. You gotta admit that doing it on the forums is a much more dynamic way of doing it

they actualy suggested me making an article out of it :p
but linking to it would make me happy and i will stop naging :p

This site has a pretty good pixel art tutorial and links to some decent sotware. I post the link to his portfolio site, because it won't let me access the tutorial link for some unkown reason.

Turbosquid.com
This site has quite a large variation of textures and 3D models. Most of them cost money, but there's also some free content.
