Hello everyone, my name is Dave and I’m looking for a 2D artist to team-up with me and fill the role of 2D artist for the game I’m developing right now.
My experience
I've released 2 games so far, one for the iPhone called Stick Streets and one for the indie XBox 360 market called Paddle Wars. You can check both of them out at www.pixelcollisions.com and watch their trailer there. However, at this time you cannot download Stick Streets because my Apple license has expired but I will be renewing that by the end of this month.
The Game
The game I'm currently working on is type of ninja slasher game. You slash the enemy over and over again, until you kill him with a mortal kombat type finishing move. You win gold, use that gold to buy items in the shop.
Game Progress
I have the majority of the game programmed, a few other functions to add are pausing the game, implementing blood animation into the game and a couple other small items as well as small bugs to fix.
What’s Required?
What's required for my game is sound effects, which I can gather from payed sound effect databases and same goes for music for the game. Then there's the artwork, I require many backgrounds, animations for the ninja, animations for enemies, UI artwork, sword artwork, some special effects and icon artwork and the artwork would be in a vector art style. At this time I'm currently using temporary sprites and animations from other games but that all needs to be replaced with original artwork.
Payment and Funds
That being said, I would like to start a Kickstarter campaign in order to recoup some of my losses, pay for licensing fees, SFX and music fees, marketing and give the artist part of the funding as well. I also want to give the backers a couple artwork pieces as part of pledging to the campaign to gain more chances at reaching the campaign goal. However, if by chance we fail to meet our Kickstarter goal, we will still press on to release the game. As far as payment is concerned, this is based off a shared profit agreement.
Conclusion
The game will be sold for $0.99 on the iPhone and Android market under my company name Pixel Collisions. I’m hoping to make a small success to start my next game project. Of course if that happens you’d be my first choice to fill role of artist for my next game. If you have any questions or are interested in teaming up with me, email me at milot_david@hotmail.com
. Thank you so much for your interest!
