To celebrate the upcoming release of the stealth horror title Hello Neighbor, Mod DB has teamed up with tinyBuild to host the inaugural #hellomods competition, with cash and games up for grabs.

Hello Neighbor, an Unreal Engine game just got modding support built in - so it's time to stop hiding in the shadows, and start baking some mods. To sweeten the deal, we are running a competition with plenty of sweet cash and games to be won if you can control your nerves.


So what needs to be done? We're letting you off the hook here and giving you free reign to come up whichever creation you believe is worthy of being amongst our #hellomods winners. It can be a total conversion, a model, any other mod, or simply a piece of fan art - limitations stifle creativity and we'd never want to do that would we?


We have gathered tools - such as the official Hello Neighbor dev kit, tutorials and guides to help get you on your feet and started! You have 2 months to submit your entry, with the competition closing December 8th, 2017, after which time we shall judge your submission and announce the winners in the next two weeks.

the run is kinda good the only thing i know why people will say that they dont like it is because if its on paper or the icon just on the thing is too small

its really basic, just uses a modified version of the standard nav mesh bounds volume.

Because they take time to make. The Neighbors AI navigation is complicated and it is hard to edit the game without completely breaking his AI.

Considering what happened in the previous competition (which had similar rules), I think that mods and arts will be judged together. I might be wrong though, so an official reply would be nice. Making the rules a bit clearer about this would be interesting too.

Yes, edit the bp to a load map instance, and referance the map you want to load.
