Engine Gem3 is a powerful platform for developing games with the view from the third person. It includes:
- physical engine
- multimedia abilities (openAL support)
- 2D and 3D geometric libraries
- network libraries
- level editor

Component architecture of GEM3 objects permits to expand their functionality without limit, allowing any properties combination.

Flexible modular architecture permits to modify the structure and functions of the engine within wide limits, making changes in the user's code only. The embedded editor can be updated taking into consideration specific peculiarities of the product owing to creation of own extensions.

Embedded support of the outside libraries (separate licenses required):
* Miles Sound System, a multimedia library with rich functionality
* GameSpy, a global system of game servers registration

That's why who wrote this article doesn't give a **** to ask for reliable info from the studios. There is no GEM3 and yes they still use GEM2 being the last version (64 bit evolution of GEM2) used to power "Gates of Hell" (TBA) by Barbed Wire Studios.

WOW, I really hope another Men of War or Heroes title uses this engine! That would be so freakin sweet! I'm really curious about this engine. Does it have all the same physics in terms of building destruction, ground deformation, spreading fires, damage from flying debris, etc? Or better? And how is the network coding? I have a great concept idea for a next generation of WWII gaming, and I think this might be the right engine for it.
