This is the full installer for "The Cursed". It is a very unique free realtime-strategy game based on the Spring engine. The game is about bones, undead, demons, space marines and magic settled in a futuristic environment. It is a fresh mixture of gameplay elements from many popular RTS games, like Starcraft or the C&C series. The game features two unique races: The Cursed - a faction combining undead and demonic creatures and the Imperial Guards - human forces with high-tech weapons and incredible firepower. Many units in game have unique abilities, like burrowing, rocket jumping, teleporting, transmutation and aura casting. You will experience a war that is fought with tanks, guns, space crafts, bone dragons, priest, demons, werewolf and angels. You may find some models that were somewhat inspired by Doom (1&2), Warhammer, Starcraft and C&C.

The latest update for The Cursed is here and contains a good load of polishing and improvements. Normal maps are included now for all big units - even though not extremely visible in game, they kept me busy for a long time. Support for lua metal maps was included with the first update. Then all related game functions were fixed with the following updates. The balance was further improved. Bugs were killed. AI functionalities were improved. And much much more!

Features

Polishing

Balance
- increased teleport range for cursed mages by 10%
- increased weapon range for imperial marines by 10%
- reduced weapon range for cursed belial by 13%
- increased velocity of imperial walkers and cursed belials by 9%
- reduced repair-speed of necromancers, liches, obelisks (tier 1 & 2) and builderoids (tier 1 & 2)
- increased damage dealt by imperial hovertanks by 20%
- imperial pyros will do 50% damage against heavy armor (vs. 75% as before)
- the cursed Agares will not cause self-damage anymore
- Agares should no longer shoot if allied units are in the line of fire
- imperial hover tanks move and accelerate faster now and do 10% more damage
- imperial transporter can hold 8 soldiers now (+2)
- reduced explosion range of Suicide Blobs and Rigor Mortis by 10%
- increased damage done by imperial marines by 7%
- maximum slow amount for witches is 100% now
- increased velocity of machine-gun like weapons to be more effective against fast targets
- increased costs for the imperial tech center to be upgraded with shields to 500 (vs. 300)
- heal aura of heroes and witches will not add up anymore
- reduced accuracy loss and increased reload speed gain a little for units in a frenzy aura
- upgraded tech centers will leave more reclaimable metal
Bugs
- added missing metal multiplier modoption
- added missing debris for imperials barracks and war factory if build by AI players
- removed potential to run into Spring's misinterpretation of potential recursions from several gadgets (e.g. recursion errors when burrowed units were killed)
- imperial priests will no longer hurt allied skeletal units
- aura related particles will no longer spawn for burrowed units (they are not impacted by auras)
- fixed weapons without aoe not being able to hit burrowed units
- fixed that you could kill big units after unburrowing by driving over them (crushable status was faulty)
AI
- AI heroes will gain levels more robustly now
- made heroes, AI builder and AI factories not capturable to avoid exploits
- killed AI heroes will be rebuild after 120s
- optimized jumping behavior for GAIA and CAI controlled units
- Xenosect Goliaths will not spawn before 5 minutes of game time. These critters realy can ruin bases early on
Infrastructure
- atlased all textures for cursed fliers and mechanodemons for simplified maintenance
- added support for lua controlled metal maps
