Hey Everyone,
Today we wanted to share some artwork we have completed recently for No Man's Land.

This is the 3D model of the Riot Shield Grunt. This unit will be extremely defensive and can tank massive damage. Sending this unit in ahead of others can be a viable strategy to protect more fragile units. Boasting over four times the health of a normal grunt, these guys can stay alive for a while. However, they offer almost no offensive abilities and are merely cannon fodder to the enemy army. They serve to keep your other units alive.
Here is the concept for the unique Belgian infantry unit, the Brewster. This soldier has a massive plate of iron on his chest granting him massive defensive. Slow but steady, this juggernaut can take a direct hit from a tank and barely feel it. Also equipped with a steam powered long range blunderbuss, the Brewster can pack a punch as well as take a beating.
Here we have the unique Belgian Armor unit, the Minerva. Originally one of Belgians innovations in WW1, in our alternate history, the Belgians really beefed up these armored cars. Adding more armor plating, a more powerful engine, and a rapid firing steam cannon - perfect for mowing down enemy infantry. The Minerva is one of the fastest armor units in the game in terms of speed and DPS, but suffers from a shorter range then most tanks.
This is Belgium's unique air unit, the Dragonfly. In WW1 Belgium's air force consisted mainly of privately owned planes. This is our take on a steampunk version of these aircraft. Equipped with dragonfly like wings, a front propeller, and anti-armor bombs, these speedy machines of the sky shouldn't be taken lightly.
The Mantis is the Belgian’s ultimate weapon. A massive four-legged steam machine of unrivaled defense. Born out of an obsession for outlasting the enemy, the Mantis features two massive spiked shields on its front legs. These colossal walls can absorb and obstruct a seemingly everlasting amount of direct damage. Equipped with a long-range cannon, this Mech can also deal a threatening amount of damage from a secure distance.
Last but not least we have an illustration of the Belgian Commander. We want to give each nation a figure or a leader that will represent them. We decided to go with a more classic looking gas mask for this leader because of the Belgian's unique Hero Ability, Tear Gas. The Tear Gas ability will allow the player to bomb an area of the map and slow down enemy units and slowly damage them.
Well, that's it for this update! If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment. Be sure to track us and like the game on Facebook! We really appreciate it, thank you!
I forgot to say that the Mantis reminds me of the Centurion from Red Alert. It was a planned Super Unit, like the Mammoth MK 2 for GDI in Tiberian Sun, for the Soviets in Red Alert 2, but due to graphical limitations was never brought to life. This is it:
